Bruna Di

Bruna was a ray of light.

We shot in the heart of Regent's Park on a glorious summer day. I remember meeting her just outside Gloucester Gate, and I was instantly captivated by her beauty.

It was a simple setup—just her, me, my assistant, and the warm sun shining down, creating the perfect atmosphere for the shoot.

The week before the shoot, I dedicated a day to exploring Birmingham's rag markets in search of fabric that would serve as a bold and vibrant backdrop. I wanted something more dynamic than a solid colour—something with a striking pattern. After hours of searching and almost giving up, I finally stumbled upon the perfect fabric, the one featured in the photographs.

After wrapping up the first setup, we transitioned to a second look to give the agency I was shooting for some variety. Styling isn’t my strong suit, and I always feel a bit of dread when it comes to pulling looks together on my own. However, I was certain that red would complement Bruna’s skin tones beautifully, so I brought along a red blazer. The day before the shoot, while visiting a friend in Manchester, I stumbled across a pair of oversized golden earrings while shopping. Instantly, I knew they were the perfect finishing touch to complete the look.

I wanted this setup to be much more minimal compared to the first series of images. To achieve this, my assistant stood behind her, holding a white backdrop aloft to create a crisp, seamless background. We lightly misted her face with water to give her skin a natural, radiant glisten, captured a few frames, and just like that, the shoot was complete.

I simply loved shooting with Bruna.
